URL to video: repurpose any article into a narrated video
You already have content — blog posts, product pages, news articles, documentation. URL to video turns it into short-form video without rewriting anything by hand. Paste a link, and ShortsMachine reads the page text, picks out the key points and writes a video script around them.
From there it works like any other video: AI scenes, voiceover, captions and stitching, up to 5 minutes.
What URL to video is good for
- Turning each new blog post into a Short, Reel and TikTok to drive traffic back to it.
- Summarising long guides into a 60–90 second explainer.
- Creating product videos from a product or landing page.
- Making news recap videos from an article you are allowed to use.
How it reads the page
ShortsMachine downloads the public page, strips navigation, scripts and footers, and passes up to about 8,000 characters of the main text to the script writer along with the source link. Pages that need a login, load their text only with JavaScript, or block bots may come back empty — in that case, paste the key paragraphs as a text prompt instead.
Tips for better results
- Use a specific article URL rather than a homepage.
- Choose a duration that fits the depth: 60 seconds for a summary, 2–3 minutes for a walkthrough.
- Pick a format for where you will post it: 9:16 for Shorts and Reels, 16:9 for YouTube or your website.
- Only use pages you own or have permission to adapt.

Can I turn a PDF into a video?
Not yet. PDF to video is planned. For now, copy the important text from your PDF into a text prompt.
Does the video link back to my article?
The video itself does not contain a clickable link, but you can ask for a closing line like "read the full guide at our website" by adding it to the page or using a text prompt.
