AI video generator that makes the whole video, not just a clip

Most AI video tools give you a single 5–10 second clip and leave the rest to you: the script, the voice, the captions, the editing. ShortsMachine is built around the finished video. You describe an idea, and it writes a scene-by-scene script, generates a matching shot for every scene, records a voiceover, burns in captions and joins everything into one MP4.

Because each scene is generated separately and then stitched, a video can run anywhere from 15 seconds to 5 minutes, in 9:16 for Shorts, TikTok and Reels, 16:9 for YouTube, or 1:1 for feeds.

What happens when you press Generate

  1. 1

    A script is written

A language model turns your idea into a title, a short visual style guide (characters, setting, palette, lighting) and a list of scenes, each with narration and a shot description.

  2. 2

Each scene gets a key image

An image model draws the opening frame of every scene using the shared style guide, so the same characters and look carry through the video.

  3. 3

    The image is animated

The video model you picked animates that frame into a clip — Wan, HeyGen, Kling, Seedance, Veo and others are available.

  4. 4

    Voice, captions and stitching

Narration is generated for each scene, the clip is fitted to the narration, captions are burned in, and all scenes are joined into one video.

Choose the model that fits the job

Different video models are good at different things. Cheap fast models are perfect for testing ideas and high-volume faceless channels; premium models give you smoother motion, better physics and higher resolution for content that has to look polished. You can switch models per video.

What it costs

Plans include monthly credits. One credit is roughly one second of the cheapest model; premium models use more credits per second. Each scene also uses about two credits for its image and voiceover. You are only charged when a video finishes — if generation fails, nothing is deducted.

Where an AI video generator works best

  • Faceless YouTube, TikTok and Instagram channels that need a steady flow of narrated videos.
  • Explainers, history, science and "did you know" content where visuals illustrate the narration.
  • Story content — scary stories, fables, motivational stories — where consistent characters matter.
  • Product teasers and social ads for small businesses without a video team.

What it does not do (yet)

ShortsMachine does not edit footage you upload, add licensed music, or lip-sync a real person. PDF-to-video is on the roadmap but not live yet. AI video models can still produce odd hands, text or physics in some shots; when a clip fails, the scene falls back to a slow zoom on its still image so your video still completes.

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take to generate a video?

A 15-second video usually finishes in under a minute; a one-minute video in about 2–4 minutes. Five-minute videos can take 10–30 minutes depending on the model. Generation runs in the background, so you can leave the page.

Can I use the videos commercially?

Yes. Videos you generate on a paid plan are yours to publish on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram or in ads, without a watermark.

Do I need editing skills?

No. The script, visuals, voiceover, captions and stitching are all automatic. You only write the idea and pick a style, voice, format and length.

Which AI video model is best?

For cheap, fast faceless content start with Wan 2.2 Fast or HeyGen Video 1. For better motion at a moderate price try Grok Imagine or FLUX 3 Max. For the most polished results use Kling 3.0, Seedance or Wan 2.7, or Veo 3.1 with a clip pack.
