1. Account Terms

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
• One person or legal entity may not maintain more than one free account.

2. Payment and Billing

• Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis and are non-refundable except as required by law.
• All fees are exclusive of taxes, which may be added where applicable.
• You authorize us to charge your payment method on file for recurring subscription fees.
• Downgrading your plan may result in the loss of features or capacity. ShortsMachine is not liable for any such loss.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use ShortsMachine to:

• Generate content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.
• Create deepfakes, misleading media, or content that impersonates real individuals without their consent.
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
• Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the service.
• Use automated tools to scrape, overload, or disrupt the service.
• Resell or redistribute the service without written permission.

4. Content Ownership

• You retain ownership of the text prompts and original content you provide to ShortsMachine.
• Videos generated using ShortsMachine are licensed to you for commercial and personal use under your active subscription.
• ShortsMachine retains the right to use anonymized, aggregated data to improve the service.
• You grant ShortsMachine a limited license to process your content as necessary to provide the service.

5. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any downtime or service interruptions.

6. Disclaimers

ShortsMachine is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free, secure, or meet your specific requirements. AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies, and you are responsible for reviewing all output before publishing.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShortsMachine and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly. Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

8. Termination

• You may cancel your account at any time from your account settings.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.
• Upon termination, your right to access the service ceases immediately. We may delete your data after a reasonable retention period.
• Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect, including ownership, disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration.

10. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by posting the updated terms on this page. Your continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
