Editorial policy
Our guides and tool pages exist to help people make better videos, whether or not they use ShortsMachine. This page explains how we write and maintain them.
Where our facts come from
- Model specs (resolution, clip length, formats, audio) and credit prices are generated from the same model catalog the app uses to make videos, so they update when the product changes.
- Advice on prompts, length and workflow comes from generating and reviewing videos with the tools we describe.
- Platform rules and limits (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram) change often; we note when a figure should be checked in the platform itself.
Honesty about our product
We are the makers of ShortsMachine, and our guides naturally mention it. We describe its limits as plainly as its strengths — what it does not do yet, where AI video still struggles, and when a cheaper model is the better choice.
Use of AI in our writing
Some of our content is drafted with AI assistance and then edited by the ShortsMachine team. Every guide shows the date it was last updated.
